Ashcourt Developments – Logistics

The team at FuelSafeUK designed and manufactured a bespoke 55,000 litre diesel storage tank, which is one of the bigger units we provide to leave our workshop.

Firstly we worked with our head of design who came up with the perfect design for Ashworth Developments. It was agreed a large cabinet at the front of the tank to house all the fuel transfer equipment and a lockable roller shutter door with an overhead canopy was to be built.

Ashworth Developments had quote bespoke requirements, within that they required two 90 LPM diesel transfer pumps to fill up all of their vehicles and also a 500 LPM pump to fill up their huge tankers which is one of the fastest and larger pumps we have been asked to fit.

Usually a specification of this size and quality takes our team around 3 weeks to design and manufacture. It was also built with a thicker 6mm Grade 43A steel as opposed to our standard 3mm to add more security and stability to the unit.

When the manufacturing process had finished our team began to work on the cosmetics. Ashworth Developments chose our popular blue tank colour and we began to spray paint it.

Finally it was ready for delivery. We delivered the new tank as scheduled and the team at Ashworth Developments were incredibly happy with the finished tank. They told us that the workmanship was “the best they had seen”. The welding work on the tank was perfect and exceptionally neat and consistent for a unit of that size, something which we pride ourselves on here at Fuel Safe UK.
