These terms apply to every quotation, order and sale of bunded fuel tanks, pumps, accessories and related services from Fuel Safe UK Bunded Fuel Tanks Ltd (“Fuel Safe UK”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08407230) at Unit 4 Riverside Industrial Park, Brunswick Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 0HZ. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
Quotations and orders
We do not sell directly through this website. Every order starts with a quotation based on the requirements you give us. An order is accepted once we confirm it to you in writing and, where requested, receive your deposit. Please check your quotation carefully, as the tank, fittings and equipment we supply will match what is on it.
Prices
All prices are in pounds sterling and will be set out on your quotation, which also states whether VAT and delivery are included. Although we take care to make sure our prices are accurate, errors may sometimes occur. If we find an error in the price of your order we will contact you as soon as possible, and you can choose to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it.
Deposits and payment
Payment terms, including any deposit, are set out on your quotation and invoice. We only accept payment in pounds sterling. Please never send payment card details to us by email.
Deposits will not be refunded, even if the lead time exceeds that given in the quoting phase, other than on a case by case basis.
Lead times
All lead times are given in good faith and with the information we have at that time. Steel, pumps and other components can be delayed for reasons out of our control, and we will keep you updated if your lead time changes.
Product images and descriptions
Every care has been taken to ensure that the photographs, descriptions and specifications of our products are accurate. However, while the reproduction of colours is a close representation, a slight variation in the actual goods may occur, and tanks built to your specification may differ from the examples shown on our website.
Delivery
We deliver throughout the UK on a date agreed with you. Please make sure there is suitable access and a prepared base for your tank. All tanks must be inspected on delivery. If anything listed on your quotation is missing, please report it to us within two weeks of delivery, as after that the customer will be liable for it. Our Welcome Pack explains what to check.
Storage charges
Once your tank is ready, Fuel Safe UK can store it for a maximum of 5 working days. Once that time has elapsed storage charges will be applied. Any tank over 10,000L capacity will be charged at least £150 per week.
Defective goods
If a tank or related item is defective, please contact us straight away. Defective tanks and related items must be returned to Fuel Safe UK within 30 days from the date of receipt, and we will repair or replace them. This does not affect your warranty or your statutory rights.
Warranty and modifications
Every tank comes with a 20-year guarantee warranty, subject to the conditions on our Tank Warranties page, including annual servicing.
If any modifications are made to a tank, the 20-year guarantee on the tank is void. This includes any additional fill points, suctions, manways or any structural changes made to the tank. It does not include cosmetic changes such as paintwork.
Any changes to the pump set from what has been delivered need to be signed off with Fuel Safe UK, as we need to check with our manufacturers whether this affects the warranty of the pump. Failure to do so will invalidate any warranties on the pumps.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Statutory rights
All products sold comply with applicable legislation, and your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
