Ensign approached us with a requirement for a bespoke fuel tank on behalf of one of their clients. The specification called for a 50,000L tank fitted with 3” outlets and fill points, designed to meet precise operational needs on-site.
A key challenge with this project was the tank’s dimensions. The unit was required to be 4 metres wide by 4 metres long, which presented logistical considerations for both manufacturing and transport. Our team carefully planned the build and delivery to ensure everything was handled safely and efficiently.
Summary
The tank was constructed to a high standard and finished with a bitumen coating, providing excellent durability and protection. It was also fitted with flanged outlets, ensuring secure and reliable connections during use.
Due to the oversized nature of the tank, we arranged a Hiab delivery along with a wide load escort, managing the entire transport process from our facility to site. The delivery was completed successfully, with the tank positioned and ready for installation.
The client was extremely pleased with the final product and service provided. Following delivery, they placed an additional order for a second tank, which is scheduled for completion and dispatch later this month.
