The brief
Assington Autos approached us with a requirement for a bespoke triple-compartment tank to manage different fuel types safely and efficiently on-site. Their operation involves handling fuel recovered from second-hand and repair vehicles, so it was essential to provide a solution that allowed for clear separation and compliant storage.
Summary
The result
We designed and manufactured a custom tank with three individual compartments to store clean diesel, contaminated diesel, and waste oil. To support their workflow, we supplied the unit with two transfer pumps, enabling easy movement and management of the fuels between vehicles and storage. The third compartment was designated for the safe containment of waste oil, helping Assington Autos meet regulatory requirements for handling and storing hazardous materials.
The tank was carefully built to ensure durability, ease of use, and full functionality across all compartments. Once complete, it was finished in the customer’s preferred yellow-green RAL colour, providing a bright, professional appearance in keeping with their site.
Assington Autos were very pleased with the final product, which now allows them to organise, store, and manage multiple fuel types efficiently and in line with regulations. This project highlights our ability to deliver practical, bespoke solutions for specialist applications.
