It’s been a busy few months in the workshop. Here’s a look at five recent bunded fuel tank projects we’ve completed, from a 160,000 litre bulk storage tank to a bespoke triple-compartment build for fuel recovered from repair vehicles.
A 160,000L bulk tank for Buffaload Limited
Buffaload Limited came back to us as a repeat customer, this time needing a large bulk fuel storage tank for one of their major operational sites. We built a 160,000L bunded fuel tank fitted with six dedicated suction lines to connect to their existing dispensing pumps, all completed in 1½” pipework with check valves. The tank also features a 3” fill point and overfill prevention valves, and was finished in leaf green before being delivered by Hiab. Read the full Buffaload Limited case study.
A bespoke 50,000L tank for Ensign
Ensign needed a bespoke 50,000L tank on behalf of one of their clients, fitted with 3” outlets and fill points. At 4 metres wide by 4 metres long, the tank’s size meant careful planning for manufacturing and transport, it was finished with a bitumen coating and flanged outlets, then delivered by Hiab with a wide load escort. The client was pleased enough to place an order for a second tank. Read the full Ensign case study.
A triple-compartment tank for Assington Autos
Assington Autos needed a way to safely separate different fuel types recovered from second-hand and repair vehicles. We built a custom tank with three individual compartments for clean diesel, contaminated diesel, and waste oil, supplied with two transfer pumps and finished in the customer’s preferred yellow-green RAL colour. A fast-turnaround 5,500L tank for AW Treecare
AW Treecare needed a tank built to specific dimensions to fit within a tight yard space. We delivered a bespoke 5,500L tank with a 15m high-capacity hose reel and 70LPM pump, manufactured within a three-day turnaround and finished in anthracite grey. AW Treecare have already expressed interest in ordering additional units. Read the full AW Treecare case study.
A split-compartment tank for Network Environmental
Network Environmental needed a dual fuel storage solution for one of their customers, a local farm shop. We designed a split-compartment bunded tank with a 500L compartment for red diesel and a 3,000L compartment for white diesel, each fitted with its own 230v pump and filtration system, plus a large fill point cabinet to house the equipment.
